1. Drew Barrymore for directing job?

Drew Barrymore is tapped to take on directing duties for the third movie in the Twilight franchise.Eclipse will apparently not be directed by Chris Weitz, who replaced Catherine Hardwicke for the upcoming New Moon.The Twilight movies are based on the best-selling books by Stephenie Meyer.

2. Ellen DeGeneres for Dog Show

Ellen DeGeneres will join the voice cast of animated flick Dog Show.The film is about a stray dog and her friends who interfere with a posh dog show. DeGeneres will also co-produce the film with John Glenn. DeGeneres last lent her voice to the cast of Finding Nemo.

3. Madea claims box office top spot

Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes to Jail has debuted at the top of the US weekend box-office chart with earnings of US$16.5 million. Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience slipped to second place with US$12.7 million, with multiple Oscar winner Slumdog Millionaire in third place with US$12.1 million. Other films on last weekend’s list include Taken, Paul Blart: Mall Cop and Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li.
