1. No Watchmen sequel
Watchmen director Zack Snyder will not commit himself to directing a sequel to the superhero flick, despite the money offered."There's no way I would be involved in a sequel or prequel. Will they make one? I have no idea how you would. The work is the work. This movie is about ideas. Anything else you would do, if you did a sequel to it, misses the point entirely of what Watchmen is,” Snyder said. However, Billy Crudup, who plays Jon Osterman, insisted that he has already signed a contract to make a follow-up to the film."Contractually, we are obligated. I will do it. I just don't know what it is we would do," Crudup said.
2. High School Musical 4 in the making
High School Musical is back for a fourth instalment in 2010, but will not feature key stars Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens.Apparently, the film will feature a love triangle "set against the cross-town rivalry between the East High Wildcats and West High Knights," according to a press statement from Disney.Peter Barsocchini, who wrote the first three films in the franchise, is back as screenwriter.
3. Willis and Morgan for cop comedy
Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan will team up in the new police comedy A Couple of Cops. Morgan and Willis will play two detective trying to track down a stolen baseball card, and also a kidnapped beauty queen.The movie will be directed by Kevin Smith.
4. Carrey and Gyllenhaal for Damn Yankees
Jim Carrey and Jake Gyllenhaal will take on the leading roles in a big-screen version of musical Damn Yankees.The movie is about an ordinary man, played by Gyllenhaal, who trades his soul to a devil-like figure, played by Carrey, for a place on New York's most famous baseball team.Carrey was last seen in last year’s comedy , while Gyllenhaal had a role in 2007’s police thriller Zodiac.
